Fisherman is the brainchild and alter-ego of percussionist/bandleader Brian Lease. Originally spawned in 1995 when Lease was playing Marimba in San Francisco lounge-core band Frenchy, Fisherman now resides in New York and presides over a number of show-biz enterprises:
Fisherman
As a solo performer, Fisherman plays the Vibraphone and Marimba at many art openings, parties, special events, restaurants, and as the one-man house band for the Bindlestiff Family Cirkus. He also plays drums in burlesque shows at Slipper Room, for This or That — America's Favorite Burlesque Game Show, and performs MC duties at Starshine, and Red Hots Burlesque shows.

Fisherman Tiki Trio
Add bass and drums to Fisherman on the vibes, and you have the Tiki Trio. Complete with bird calls, log drum and other percussion, the trio specializes in "mid-century Exotica and Lounge Pop." Fisherman has headlined at Tiki Oasis in Palm Springs, the London Luau, and will be featured at the Hot Rod Hula Hop in Columbus Ohio Aug 2006. Whether playing at a night club, backyard party or boat cruise, the Tiki Trio takes you on a sonic vacation to a jungle beach of your imagination!
Fisherman 9-in-1 Combo
This unique trio also features Kyle Forester (Bass, Guitar, Sax), and Eric Farber (Drums, Bass and Bongo's). As each member plays 3 instruments, there are 9 different instrumental combinations possible. With over 5 hours of material ranging from 60's surf to Jewish polka to 80's stadium rock and Tiki, this group can play an art opening in the morning, a barbecue in the afternoon, a wedding at night, and end up at the Pussycat Lounge at midnight (this has happened!).
Fisherman's Xylophonic Burlesque Orchestra
By simply adding a saxophone player to the Combo, we create America's favorite Burlesque house band! Fisherman co-created the first Tease-o-Rama Burlesque Show, headed up Fisherman's Famous San Francisco Burlesque, and has been the house band for 3 consecutive years of the New York Burlesque Festival. They have played for such luminaries as Tempest Storm, Kitten DeVille, Dixie Evans, and Kitten Natavidad. Fisherman's Xylophonic Orchestra is currently touring with Burlesque-a-Pades, the Pontani Sisters' all-star road show.
